We're all that we're cracked up to be! Welcome to the homepage of the University of Evansville Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers Welcome to the University of Evansville ASCE student chapter. As the ASCE Student Chapter President, I welcome you to the exciting world of Civil Engineering at the University of Evansville. In 2007 the student chapter will be involved with many different exciting activities. This year will mark the seventh straight year that we will be participating in the annual ASCE Concrete Canoe competition. The Great Lakes Regional competition will be held at Purdue University-West Lafayette, and the top teams will move up to the National competition held this year in Seattle, Washington. We will also be competing in the AISC Steel Bridge contest, which is also held at the Great Lakes Regional site. Both of these competitions spark a great amount of rivalry between universities but we also tend to make many friends along the way. The University of Evansville ASCE is also active with the community, sponsoring the annual Balsa Wood Bridge Competition which is held here in Evansville's Washington Square Mall as a part of National Engineer's Week. The competition is organized and run entirely by UE ASCE members and gives area students an insight on just how much fun they can have with Civil Engineering, while also giving them a chance to compete with others in building the strongest bridge. Please feel free to browse around the website and get to know us better. If you have any questions or would like more information about UE ASCE, you may contact the Student Chapter by clicking the "Contact UE ASCE" link on the left.
